Need to create a custom email to send to the prospects in an event or campaign? Default emails not up to your standards? No need to worry, the LeadJig system has you covered!

Each Email in the system can be customized from the content center by clicking on the "Copy" button next to the default email template you want to modify.

This will ask you who you want to create the email template for. If you are the user that the campaign is set up under you will select your name (there will be 2 you can click on either one), or if you are a user who is not the owner of the campaign you will want to select the user that the campaign is set up under.

Once that is out of the way it will take you into the email template editor.

The first field you will be able to modify is the Name field (1), This field is internal only and will be what the email is listed under in your content center, and in the broadcast email feature in your events and campaigns!

The next field to the right is the Subject field(2). This is the actual subject line that your prospects will see in their email inbox when they receive the email.

underneath that is the current body of the email. You will be able to click on each section of the email to customize the current contents, or drag and drop new elements from the Content tab on the left side of the email editor(3).

Objects in the content tab are as follows:

Text Fields - Drag and drop into the email to add text to your email. clicking on the text box after it has been dropped into the email body will give you access to a full text editor, as well as our list of Merge Tags which will automatically populate with information from your campaign and landing page!

Images - Images can be added directly from your computer by dragging and dropping an image field into the email, and then dragging and dropping an email from your computer into the image field in the email! Alternatively, you can click on the Browse button in the image field and following the prompts to add an image from your computer.

Buttons - Buttons such as the 'Email Us Now' or 'Call Us Now' buttons can be added in and then once clicked on will allow you to change the text inside of the button, and over on the right will allow you to dictate how you want that button to function when clicked. By default, it will want to direct the prospect to a website but you can change the action to have the prospect make a call, send an email, or send a text instead.

Divider lines - These will break up the content of the email an example, in the image above, is the line under the header image, and above the first text block.

Links to Social Media - Dragging and dropping this field into an email will automatically include links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. you will be able to complete these links by going over to the right side of the email editor after clicking the Social field in the email. If there are any social media platforms you're not currently using you can simply delete those out or add in as many social medial options as you would like!

HTML Fields - These are especially helpful if you are using the BombBomb video platform. If you have an HTML snippet that you would like to include in the email simply drag and drop the HTML field into the email and then on the right side of the email editor, remove the existing code and paste the code snippet into the box!

Videos - If you have a Youtube or Vimeo link that you would like to include in your email you can drag and drop this field into your email, and on the right side of the email editor, paste your Youtube or Vimeo link in the box provided. This will automatically imbed the video into the email!

The email editor will NOT automatically save the changes to the email so you will need to click the save button in the top right corner of the editor. This also means that you can create an email template in the system and use it to practice building emails or test ideas.

Once the email is saved it is not automatically set as the new default. For that to happen you will need to navigate back to the Content Center and toggle the blue button to your new email!
